What is involved in a Gastek Split System Clean?
Indoor Unit (Head)
• Remove dirt, mould, and bacteria from the interior split system
• Filters & louvers removed
• Full split system sanitised
• Indoor coil fins combed and straightened for increased cooling/heat transfer
• Anti-microbial treatment applied to full split system (prevents the growth of mould)
• Front facia wiped down & sanitised
• Disassemble internal unit covers & filters (if required)
• Internal unit covers & filters sanitised
• Disassemble internal unit covers & filters (if required)
• Drip tray cleaned & flushed the condensate drain/pipe (to prevent leaking & ensure its flowing correctly)
• Disinfect the coils, filters, and covers (kills 99.9% of bacteria)
Outdoor Unit (condenser)
• Outdoor condenser exterior casing cleaned if easily accessible (must be ground level)
• Inspect/clean fan and housing: straighten fins as needed
• Check electrical connections/insulation
System Checks
• Air-conditioners remote batteries checked (replaced if required) and remote sanitised
• Listen for unusual noise/vibration/visual leak check
• Test & record temperature split (returns vs supply), modes and drain operations
